Putting Ideas Into Words
We can help you turn your ideas into a crisp and lively white paper, grant proposal or book. Recently we've worked with clients including the Minnesota Department of Health, Elsevier Press, the National Council on Interpreting in Health Care and others.
Immigrant Medicine Text: Patricia Ohmans contributed a chapter and Anthony Schmitz contributed an interactive archive of multilingual health resources to this textbook, published in 2007 by Elsevier Press. The chapter, called “Action Steps for Immigrant Health” is based on Health Advocates’ work coordinating the two-year Minnesota Immigrant Health Task Force.
Grant and Funding Proposals: Writing a successful proposal calls for clear, organized thinking, detail orientation, teamwork, and timely delivery of application materials. We've written funded proposals for community-based clients, health departments, large provider collaborations and ourselves! In 2010 we completed a highly-focused funding proposal for Children's Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota, and a complex federal Recovery Act proposal for a Ramsey County health eating/healthy living initiative.
Finding Work in Global Health is a practical guide for jobseekers or anyone who wants to make the world a healthier place. The latest edition includes a preface by Nils Daulaire, president of the Global Health Council, as well as updated checklists, information and resources.
Here's what one reviewer had to say: " This book is excellent at helping you evaluate your motivations for working overseas. I would recommend this book as a starting place in the process of looking for work." Order Finding Work in Global Health.
We also wrote and designed a quarterly newsletter and brochure for Mano a Mano International Partners, a Bolivia/US organization that builds infrastructure in rural Bolivia. We worked with both US and Bolivian staff to create material that sensitively portrayed both sides of this international partnership.
